PASS Disability Awareness and Preventing Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH)

PASS continues to support building PNG schools' awareness and practice in the areas of people with disability, Child Protection and Preventing Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH). A series of short workshops were delivered to schools to develop understanding in each area and establish policies and procedures to build practice towards achieving compliance.

All workshop materials and supporting resources are available in the shared Google Drive folders below.

Australian Curriculum

The Australian Curriculum sets the expectations for what all young Australians should be taught, regardless of where they live in Australia or their background. Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) draws on the best national talent and expertise, and consults widely to develop the Australian Curriculum and resources.

This site houses a range of resources that can be used to support teachers as they implement the Australian Curriculum. The resources have been developed by ACARA after intensive work with a range of schools and teachers. The resources include illustrations of practice, work samples, connections to the curriculum, teaching and learning tools, as well as links to reports and relevant research.

Take a tour of the new Australian Curriculum

Australia’s national curriculum was recently been reviewed and the latest version released. The Australian Curriculum has three elements: Learning Areas (or subjects) plus two cross-curriculum elements expected to be achieved by every student by the time they exit school. These are 1) seven General Capabilities (e.g. Intercultural Understanding, Digital Literacy and Critical and Creative Thinking) and, 2) three Cross Curriculum Priorities (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures, Asia and Australia’s Engagement with Asia and Sustainability).
