About PNGAUs Partnership Secondary Schools
The Governments of Australia and Papua New Guinea are working together to deliver the PNGAus Partnership Secondary Schools initiative under the PNG-Australia bilateral partnership. The PNGAus Partnership Secondary Schools initiative continues the enduring friendship between the two countries. Its goal is to strengthen relationships between you, Papua New Guinean and Australian secondary schools, in a manner that builds your capabilities and deepens people-to-people links.
The initiative connects you, Papua New Guinean and Australian students, teachers and school leaders to better prepare our future generations to thrive in a technology-driven and globally interconnected 21st century.
Objectives
The three key objectives of the PNGAus Partnership Secondary Schools initiative are to:
01 Improve secondary school education capabilities in targeted areas, such as Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), English language, youth agency and leadership, girls’ education and inclusive education.
02 Build student empowerment through the development of leadership skills and an expanded world view.
03 Strengthen the public diplomacy between the two countries.
The PNGAus Partnership Secondary Schools initiative is managed by Tetra Tech International Development on behalf of the Australian Government, supported by Asia Education Foundation at Asialink, The University of Melbourne.
